The ten months that I spent in Tapachula was perhaps one of the best times of my life. This town of 500,000, which sits on the border of Mexico and Guatemala, was a fascinating mix of Mexican culture and an inflow of other peoples from Central America. I will never forget sitting in the parks eating Tortas and falling asleep at night to the sound of Mariachi Music.
