I almost didn't arrive to Chiapas in time to give a speech at my students graduation in 2004. My luggage never arrived into Guatemala City so I stuck around there for three days before I finally gave up and left for Chiapas at the last minute. I arrived there with an hour to spare, wrote a speech in English and Spanish, borrowed a suit, and spoke to an audience of around a hundred people including the media. I had to buy clothes and a few other things to replace my lost luggage but I had a great time on my return to this beautiful Mexican state.
